In My Mailbox - Vacation Prep

I'm getting ready for our annual family trip to Kentucky Lake. Since I'm the librarian, I bring a lot of books -- some for me but I try to bring a variety. I already have a huge stash at my house, but of course I couldn't resist a trip to the library to pick up some others. That's mostly what's "IMM" this week. But first, a book I won!

Won:

The Tudor Throne, by Brandy Purdy, won from Amber@The Musings of Almybnenr (signed by the author!)

From the Library:

Between Shades of Gray, by Ruta Sepetys

Climbing the Stairs, by Padma Venkatraman

Draw the Dark, by Ilsa J. Bick

Heist Society, by Ally Carter

I wish I could say I will read all of these while I'm at the lake, but I have several others I intend to take along also.  But these are all books I intend to read soon! Hope you have a great week. Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come back again. Don't forget to visit The Story Siren to see ALL the blogs that have posted this week. Happy Reading!

  4. It looks like you've got some great books this week! :)

    Enjoy.

I just finished reading Ashes by Ilsa Bick not that long ago and it was really good, I haven't seen some of her other books so I'm off to check that one out - Thanks :)

  5. Nice haul this week. I recently received Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick for review. Never read anything by her but Ashes sounded really intriguing. I may need to check out Draw the Dark, as well. Enjoy!

  6. I'm a librarian too! Working around books puts me close to constant temptation, and then In My Mailbox is always so dangerous for my already impossibly huge To Be Read list. Must. Read. Faster!

I haven't heard of Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, I'll have to check it out.

The Tudor Throne looks good, even though those girls look like they belong on the front of a Butterick patterns package. LOL.

  7. Heist Society was great! I haven't read Climbing the Stairs, but I've read Island's End, her other book, and it was very good!

  9. There's something about The Tudor Throne cover that I really like. I hope the book lives up to the cover! Can't wait to read your thoughts on Climbing the Stairs. The book looks intriguing, but I'm particularly interested in hearing your take on it.
