Following on Friday (Thank God....)

Thanks to Parajunkee and Alison for hosting the Follow Friday event once again! This week's question is:

Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

I'm going to answer this question below, since it is similar to the TGIF question.....

TGIF happens over at GReads! so make sure you get over there to check it out. Her question this week is:

Taking it Personal: Which books have affected you on a personal level and lingered in your mind long after you closed the pages?

This is a hard one for me. I think I am the sum of all that I have read, throughout many years. I think of Charlotte's Web, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, just to name a few, that have fed my need to read, as well as taught me some important life lessons. There are many more than these, but that's what came to mind first. I do a regular post called Monday Memories, and I talk about books from the past that have influenced me. I think those posts sum it up the best.

I hope this Friday finds you looking forward to a great weekend! Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I hope you will come back soon.

  1. I remember being obsessed with the sisterhood of the traveling pants books! They were key to my middle school reading addiction. Great picks!

  3. I couldn't really pick a single book because I've always been a reader, but I did my best with my answer.

  5. I started reading LoTR last year. I need to finish it. I've enjoyed it. I just keep putting other books in front of it. I did finally read The Hobbit, and I really enjoyed that book.
