Ginger at GReads! asks a very appropriate question for this time of year:
Giving Thanks: Which books are you most thankful for
receiving from other bloggers, friends, family members, or publishers?
Well I have a lot to be thankful for, but I'll stick to the question so as not to write a book. Suffice it to say that I have a wonderful, loving family and a great job, for starters.
At Parajunkee and Alison's they are asking another holiday question:
Q: Letter to Santa: Tell Santa what books you want for
Christmas!
As I said above, my favorite bookish thing to get are gift cards! My wish list of books changes on a daily basis, and the most fun for me is to browse until I see a book and think, "Oh, I've wanted that for a long time!" I also like "bookish" things. My husband got me a book necklace, and I'm always finding mugs, t-shirts, jewelry, and totes that I would like to have to support my habit. This is my latest find (saw this on a sewing blog - my other hobby.)
Please click here for information about my 2012 giveaway. If you want to get rid of all those short books on your TBR, this may be the challenge for you!
Hope you have a great weekend. Can't wait to see your lists!
Oh, wow...how did I forget to thank the hubby for my NOOK? Seriously, there are so many people to thank, and every TGIF post I read today makes me think of more! I love this community and am thankful to have people like you to share my love of books with! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I felt so luck when I was working in a bookstore, because even though I used my staff discount often enough, being able to order books in for the store (I was the children's book buyer) meant I was less likely to spend money on it myself. :) Definitely helped keep costs down. Sounds like you have a lot to be thankful for - good for you!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. Oooh...a book necklace! What does that look like? I love the bag too.

Woah! You work in a library? Full of awesome books? And you have an Ipad? *Sends mind waves to all friends and family: Buy Kristina an Ipad!* Ive actually been telling a lot of people how an Ipad would make blogging so much easier... no one's taken to hint yet though... Thankfully Christmas is coming!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm thankful for my iPad too! I haven't read the Wicked Lovely series yet, but it looks good!

ReplyDeleteI WANT that book bag! Except...now I have the "Big Butts" song by Sir Mix-A-Lot stuck in my head (hey, just realized, he actually knew how to spell "a lot"! Yay for him!)
ReplyDeleteYes, that bookbag is awesome. I would be very happy if Santa brings me that. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.
I love that bag. I recently pinned it on Pinterest to help remind me that I want it, lol. I should go out and get a canvas bag and just make one myself.
ReplyDeleteHello, new follower here. Apart from books I'm after a Kindle as well - saves on space! If you'd like to pay me a visit I'm over at:
