Happy New Year and IMM - Cheap eBooks!

Hope today is the beginning of a wonderful year for you and all your loved ones! I know this will be a very exciting year for our family. Weddings, babies, graduations, anniversaries, and birthdays -- we have much to look forward to!

In My Mailbox is a fun weekly meme hosted by Kristi, The Story Siren. Here's what I got the last TWO weeks:

For Review:

Quaranteen: The Loners, by Lex Thomas, from LMC Magazine

Katana, by Cole Gibson, from LMC Magazine

The Project, by Brian Falkner from Random Buzzers

Christmas Gift:

The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets, by Eva Rice, from my daughter.
A random pick from the book store. We're suckers for pretty dresses on covers -- this one reminded her of The Luxe (one of my favorites) only set in the 50s.

Won:

Legend, by Marie Lu, won from Celine @ Nyx Book Reviews

Purchased:

I found some great deals on cheap ebooks for my Kindle. So I bought a bunch (all from amazon.com) and spent very little (less than $15 for 10 books.) So, if you are still on the fence about ebooks, reconsider! There are awesome deals for all kinds of books! I don't know when I'll get to read all of these, although a few were on my wish list, but here they are:

Unholy Ghosts, by Stacia Kane

Gamble on Engagement, by Rachel Astor. The is the second in the series, and I really enjoyed the first one. Light-hearted, funny, chick lit.

Entwined, by Heather Dixon

Vesper, by Jeff Sampson

Brightest Kind of Darkness, by P.T. Michelle

Bumped, by Megan McCafferty

A Hidden Fire, by Elizabeth Hunter

The Unidentified, by Rae Mariz

Whew! That's a lot of books. What am I thinking? Well, some day I will retire and be able to read, read, read! Thanks for visiting, and leave me your link so I can check out your IMM.

  4. The e-book sale that's going on is totally amazing. I need to get my butt in gear and take advantage of it. As for the books you got or won, Bumped is amazing and so is Legend. I hope that you had a fantastic holiday season and that the new year is off to an awesome start. Have a great day!

  14. Hi Annette, these are mostly unfamiliar titles to me - but I'm glad that IMM has brought me to your blog. I have a soft spot in my heart for librarians! :) I also see that you're currently listening to David Almond's Skellig - David Almond is one of my absolute favorite authors. And I also enjoyed Skellig - you also have to read the prequel My Name is Mina - I was blown away by that book. :)
