This week's question is: What makes up you non-human family?
I love this question because my dog is really a member of my family. I have a German Shepherd named Mollie. She's four years old, and spoiled rotten!
And for the Book Blogger Hop, over at Crazy-For-Books, the question is:
Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?
I read all kinds of YA novels. I think it's because I work with teens everyday, and it keeps me young. They are usually easy, action-packed books, and I like that. My favorite genre is Historical Fiction, which is really strange, because I hated history in school. But, a fictional story about historical events is very different. It gets me every time!
Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking forward to doing some visiting myself (probably have to wait until after work, though!)
Happy Friday! Love your dog, sooo cute! New Follower. Have a great weekend

I read YA and MG because I'm honing my skill at writing my own stories in those genres, but I also find them extremely entertaining. However I also read adults paranormal romance and contemporary fiction.
ReplyDeleteAw, what a sweet dog :) I think reading YA is good for teachers to have a connection with students. I teach mostly younger grades so I stick with children's books & short novels. Old follower hopping by :) Here's my post.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute dog! I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteNew to your site too.
Happy Friday!

Cute puppy. :) My non-human family consists of two cats and two turtles:
ReplyDeleteEcho is a female long-haired tuxedo cat, who is sweet and crazy and a touch on the dumb side.
Ryo-ohki is a female long-haired mostly-black cat, who is terribly antisocial and grouchy but I love her.
Milo is a female red-eared slider (aquatic turtles) who is going to storm Tokyo one day.
Crush is an antisocial spiny softshell turtle of uncertain gender. (The other turtle in that photo is Matey, now deceased.)
Aww, Mollie is so cute! Just stopping by to share some Friday blog love! Have a great weekend! Tasha @ A Trillian Books
ReplyDeleteI LOVE German Shepherds! I would love to have one some day.

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new follower. Mollie is a beautiful dog. I've never owned a dog, but if I were ever to get one, it would be a German Shepard.
ReplyDeleteFollowing from FF; Mollie is gorgeous! My dad would get a German Shepherd in a heartbeat but we don't have the room plus my cat wouldn't be very happy :P
ReplyDeleteHey congratulations for being selected for Follow Friday. I have never actually done the follow part of follow Friday until today because I only want to follow blogs that I think will be of value to me and I found it in your blog, So now I am you newest follower. I, too, am a high school librarian. I blog about issues related to teen literacy, YA book reviews, and a few of those blog hop things now and then.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week-end.

Here I am hopping on by...
ReplyDeleteI went all over the map with this question on my blog. I read and enjoy almost every genre of fiction out there. There’s no way I could just pick one.
So I talked about all of them. Even romance fiction (sort of)! I invite you to hop over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and see for yourself.

Annette-In regards to the ferrets-they have their own "playpen" that they free roam in. One is cuddly, the other 3, not so much...they like to use their teeth! lol

Happy Reading,
Zakiya!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love historical fiction! Of all kinds! I had a German Shepherd when I was little... "Lady"....loved her so much!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you here and on Twitter too!!
Visiting from the blog hop tour and I'm a new follower. I enjoy YA fantasy, too. I work with young people in my music ministry at Church and my youngest daughter is 19, so maybe that's why I enjoy YA. I also enjoy historical fiction. I guess it's being drawn in to a different world that attracts me to all those genres.
ReplyDeleteIf you get the chance, come visit my blog. It seems as though we have a lot in common: http://bookendcrossing.blogspot.com/2011/01/book-blogger-hop-tour-1-14-to-1-17-2011.html
