Follow Friday -- Sleepless Nights

Hey! Welcome back. And happy Friday! I know I, for one, am very happy to be at the end of this week. Sometimes 4-day weeks seem so much longer than 5-day ones. I don't know why...

Anyway, Alison and Parajunkee have this week's Feature and Follow Friday question:

Q: What is the last book that kept you up late into the night just to finish it?

This is kind of a timely question, because last Sunday I did a post about how I CAN'T stay up to read! No matter how hard I try and how exciting the book -- my body just goes to sleep. Here's where you can read my discussion about "Falling Asleep".  If you have any "tricks" for staying awake, let me know!

Hope you enjoy your weekend. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back soon.

  1. Haha, I've definitely had that feeling before. Sometimes I don't even last five pages before I fall asleep since I normally read right before bed. Happy Friday :)

  2. It depends with me. There are days I definitely can't stay awake, but assuming I'm good with sleep, food, fatigue, etc., I usually can. I get it, though. :D Old follower. My FF is at LKHill or Musings on Fantasia. Happy Friday! ;D

  3. I hear yah! I've been having the problem lately so there haven't been many books that have kept me up late lately. I try to do so much in a day that my body is reminding me that I am no longer an 18 year old. Ay...

  5. If I read in bed at night, my body shuts down. If I read in my chair, I can stay up. I read in my chair. ;-)

  6. Sometimes I wish my body would do that, haha. Instead I lose track of time and then I'm thinking, 'Why is it getting bright outside?'

  7. Wow..I kinda envy you for that LOL. I have trouble falling asleep, so any kind of excitement so late at night will put me back a lot. Have to keep a very rigid curfew for when I have to wake up early so that I can get my hours of sleep.

  9. As I get older I find it harder and harder to stay up late reading. The book has to be amazing for me to stay up past bed time to read it, and even then it's usually a weekend lol.

  10. I have the same problem sometimes... BUT, If I start to feel sleepy while reading, and I want to stay awake, I'll get up, walk around the house a bit, grab a snack, get a drink, etc., and then go and sit in a CHAIR (rather than my bed) to read. :)

    Anyway, I'm a new follower here. :)
