Feature and Follow Friday: Are You a Collector?

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow
Happy Friday! I hope you had a great first week of 2015. Here's this week's question for Feature & Follow:

Do you have any fun collections (other than books)? - Suggested by Peace Love Books.

I used to collect mugs. But they took up so much space, collected dust, and I couldn't drink enough coffee to use them all! I'm at the point now where I've become very minimalist. I don't like stuff sitting around, so I'm an "anti-collector."

How about you? What do you collect? Leave me a link, and make sure you visit all the other participants at our hosts, Parajunkee and Alison. Have a great weekend. Hope to see you back here soon.

  1. Hahaha! I do agree! Especially when it comes to spring cleaning and I'll be the one cleaning the mugs my parents have collected!

  2. Agree! I used to collect mugs, had about twenty just for Christmas, but they do take up so much cabinet space and in this house I don't have a place to display them properly, so I donated about half my mugs to the thrift shop. I used to also collect wooden bird statues but have since given them to my eldest daughter. I am at the age where I admire beautiful things, but hesitate before buying it and having to find a spot for it :)

  3. We have a entire cupboard groaning with mugs of all sorts, and we say every Christmas and Easter (in the UK, some easter eggs come packed with mugs) NO MORE MUGS. And yet we still end up buying them, because we find the perfect design for someone.

  4. I know what you mean about collections taking up space, I have like this gigantic collection of tv on dvd and it takes up like a crazy amount of room, as does my collection of Buffy/Angel stuff (including the tie-in novels, the comics, etc.) but I couldn't see myself not collecting it though simply because I love it so much. The same with my coffee mugs, shot glasses, and the Doctor Who stuff I have. :)

Happy Reading and Hopping Through! :)

  5. I have a very small mug collection starting myself. My favourite one would have to be the one a friend got me for Christmas a couple years ago - it's a mug full of Shakespearian insults! It's hilarious!

  6. Hopping through. Yeah, I worry that my mug collection will get out of hand. I'll have to be diligent about not buying too many.
