I read one book at a time. Even if I start another book while I'm reading one, I'll stop reading the original book. Usually this is because I'm not "feeling" a book and I need a break, so I'll pick something totally different to read, then come back to the first one. I also am always listening to an audiobook, mostly while I'm driving.
I just can't make my brain think about two different books at the same time. And, if the audiobook happens to be the same genre as the one I'm reading, I sometimes get confused! I guess you could say I have a "one track mind!"

I can see how you would get confused if you're reading/listening to the same genre, this is why I kind of like to mix my genre's and being a mood reader sometimes makes it a little bit harder for me to just stick to one book. Also, being the blogger that I am, where I'm getting a ton of physical and eGalley's for review and then I also already have a massive amount of books on my shelves physical/virtual that I want to read for pleasure. So, I try to pick one physical one off of my shelf and then read one eGalley. There are those times, when I feel like I need to concentrate on the one book and I do usually end up doing that.

ReplyDeleteI carry my mp3 player at work and listen to audio books all day, but at home I have hard copies and my tablet. So I always have at least 2 books going.
