My only question:
As I mentioned in my interview, I really need some help sprucing up my blog. I'm ready for something different and more professional. Give me some suggestions for people who can help. I want a modern, minimalist, art deco style.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I've not had any problem with reading or blogging slumps, *knocks on wood* so I can't really speak to that. I love this; I'm always enthused. At least so far....
This has been a fun week. Thanks for your participation. Please come back soon!
I'm not an expert but I like the design of your book as it's simple but has everything it needs. I really don't like over-complicated designs.
ReplyDeleteI understand the need for something different. Here is a link to a blog designer that does some simple designs. I think she could match a style you want. http://www.iceydesigns.com/portfolio.html
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you participated in AC BEA this week.
I'm not sure on people who can help. I did my blog myself. I'd suggest looking at blogspot themes and blogs of people you like, so that when you do find someone who can help, you can direct them to what you like, so they can come up with an idea for you from that.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is your business card to the world. I think its look okay. I would recommend : www.parajunkee.com for design work..she is amazing
ReplyDeleteI agree with Julie - Parajunkee is awesome, I did have a blog I follwo that has just started a blog design business and has good rates but I can't remember her name. When I find it again in my feed I will come back and let you know.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've enjoyed the week - it has been a good one!
Found it - it's 'LC's Adventures in Libraryland' - here is her link:

hope that helps. :D
Good luck with the sprucing up! I have no advice in that area, I just fluster along on my own. The above comments sound awesome though. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Annette, here is the cheesecake recipe that you asked about on my blog: http://www.melskitchencafe.com/2012/01/brownie-mosaic-cheesecake.html
ReplyDeleteThe only difference with the one I made is that I didn't do a ganache on top... instead I drizzled melted chocolate, caramel sauce (like the kind for ice cream in a squeeze container), and chopped pecans.
Enjoy, if you make it! It's rich but DELICIOUS. I made it for my birthday last year and everyone really liked it. =)
