Another topic that I really don't have much to say about. I'm looking forward to what others have to say.
I do review books for Library Media Connection Magazine and I love doing it. It's a different kind of reviewing, for my peers. I simply applied according to their information in the magazine. I had to send in a sample of my writing and I was accepted.
I don't make money from my blog, and don't really have much interest in doing so. I've signed up to "monetize" but I've not made anything, and that's OK.
Your suggestions?
You're one step ahead of me. I didn't do a post because I had nothing to add.
ReplyDeletehave been unsure about monetizing as i need to find out more on how to set it up - i guess i should, b/c so many readers say they're off to buy the books i've recommended or reviewed !
ReplyDeleteglad for you taking the steps for reviewing for your peers ~ very cool..
That's awesome that you review for a magazine! Good job. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is great to be writing for your peers. We both have the same thought about the money part.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my post, I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the hobby part.. if I didn't already have a full-time paying job, perhaps I would try a little harder.
But I have fun with the blog, and that is what it is there for.
(I am jealous of your job, though!!)
Thanks so much for visiting my blog, it's great to meet you. I think it's wonderful that you review for a magazine and love doing it. That part is always important. :-) I see in your sidebar that you're reading Lies Beneath - I am, too. I'm about 1/3 of the way through and need to hurry before my galley expires!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! It's cool that you review for a magazine; one of these days, I might just try that!

Reviewing is about the only writing that I do, but my dream is to write. Don't know if I'll ever finish a full novel. My attention span lately has been lucky to make it through a full review. LOL! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Enjoy the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat that you write reviews for your peers. And, I know what you mean about not really caring about monetizing your blog. I'm in the same boat. I'm an Amazon affiliate, but haven't made anything and that's okay. I blog just to blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't take this question to be so much about money, I'm just looking for ways to expand my writing beyond my blog, or expand the readership of my blog by posting elsewhere. Your magazine work sounds cool to me. Today's topic has been really interesting. Enjoy the rest of BEA!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'll ever monetize my blog. It is cool that you write for a magazine. :)
