Holiday Reading Challenge - Day 9 - It's Christmas!!

Merry Christmas.  We have a beautiful WHITE one, since we got about 3 inches of snow yesterday.  Here's today's challenge:

Since today is Christmas and everyone will probably be busy, I'm making Today's activity easy. Here is what you have to do:

1. Since today is the 25th, turn to page 25 in the book you are reading right now.
2. Count down the page to line 25 and tell us what the sentence says. If there is a partial sentence or word in that line you can leave it out. If you don't have 25 lines on your page just choose the 7th line (2+5=7).

I'm reading Firelight, by Sophie Jordan. I'm only on page 38, and already am really into this book.  It starts out with a bang!

So here's the quote:

"It needs to be done," Severin insists.

And, I don't even know what the "it" is in that sentence.  That's part of the mystery so far!

Hope you enjoy your day, and enjoy what you are reading.

  1. This is YET ANOTHER book I want to read. I actually have it, but I just need to get to it...

  2. "Tanya ignored it and climbed the final few stairs"
from 'The Thirteen Treasures' by Michelle Harrison.
I've only just started this book so, Like you, i have no idea what the 'it' in this sentence is!

I've never heard of your book but it sounds quite interesting.
    Merry Christmas :D

  3. "They slashed at his eyes with ribbon-like leaves and rapped his knuckles as sharply as Sister Regina's ruler in the parish school whenever he had dared contradict the penguin." (ebook- this is actually line 24-26!)

From "Van Gogh, Encore" by John A. Karr. I'm almost done with the book- review coming soon!

(following you- I thought I did that already when I dropped by, but I double checked today to be sure!0

  4. Thanks for stopping by. Firelight is a nice read :)

Thanks for visiting! I LOVE comments! I've received several awards and because of the time involved, I now must make this an award free blog.
