In My Mailbox -- NOT the video edition

I got a wild hair and thought I might try a video post, but it's just not working out.  I need to be by myself, and my family has been hanging around this weekend.  That's a good thing--but I'm just not able to do the video.  I had a pretty good week, bookwise.  Thanks to The Story Siren for hosting (for the last time this year!)

First of all, my "Winnings!"

I won this book, Firelight by Sophie Jordan, from Amy at Attack of the Book.  I'm so excited to have this one--my library doesn't have it so I can donate it when I'm done!

I won Edge of Escape, by Debra Chapoton in Kindle form from Megan at Midnight Fume.  Love this cover!

I've decided to start stocking up for the Holiday break, so I brought home three books from the library (there's several more still in a stack on my desk, too.)

That's right.  I'm reading the second book in a series.  You may know, if you read many of my posts, that I read a lot of first books, but rarely go through an entire series.  I've read the entire Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, The Luxe, and Twilight series.  I think that's all, so I have to be pretty in love with a book before I'll commit to the series.  Just sayin'...

I recently read a review of this book on someone's blog (sorry I didn't take note of which one) and it convinced me to read this. Marcello in the Real World, by Francisco X. Stork.

Revolution, by Jennifer Donnelly.  I loved A Northern Light, and I've read so many good things about this one.  I'm really looking forward to it.

That will do it for me.  Thanks for visiting.  What did you get this week???

Hey!  My first ever giveaway ends Wednesday, Dec. 15.  You can enter here.

I like the cover for Edge of Escape, too, and I've been wanting to read Marcelo in the Real World for a while.
